Kayaking at -8c Skaha Lake to the Crash Site - KAYAKlog: Dec. 5th 2013

Kayaking  at -8c is not a problem as long as the weather is good and there is minimal wind today I paddled on Skaha Lake to the Crash Site to have a look at the wreckage.

Winter kayaking on a calm and sunny morning on Skaha Lake to the Crash Site and back. Managed to get some great shots of the bell shaped ice forming on the reeds in the lake. Hope you enjoy the video below!

It was an interesting knocking sound as I paddled through the reeds as the bell shaped ice formations knocked on the kayak.

"CastaNet NEWS"Two people are OK after their vehicle ended up in Skaha Lake in Penticton Wednesday night.
According to Penticton RCMP Sgt. Rick Dellebuur, a 2009 Dodge 150 pick up was heading southbound on Channel Parkway when it missed the turn and went  about 100 feet out in the lake.
When the police arrived on scene, after getting the 8:15 p.m. call, they found the male driver and female passenger both on shore.
They were safe and were taken to hospital, he said.
The couple were not impaired, but it is believed the vehicle was going too fast and driver inattention could be a factor.
An investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

"UpThaRiver" - Kayaking Okanagan River Channel Aug13th2013

Many people tubing/floating down the river channel today.

As I paddled halfway up and back down I had many commenting about my paddle. Told many you can get your own at www.WebbedPaddles.com

I told one "you should have seen the size of the duck I took them off" LOL

Awesome Sunset Paddle on Skaha Lake March 17th 2012

Here are a few photos, a bit of a tease, from this evening's paddle trip on Skaha Lake as we paddled to the Okanagan River Channel and up a little way to catch this amazing sunset. What an awesome sight! Will be making a video tomorrow to attach on this post so bookmark this page if you want to see the update later.

Kayaker Kathy McA ahead of me. I love the reflections, way the ripples of the water resembled fingers.
