The "Twin Heron Angler". Finally my replacement arrived for my OldTown Vie II.

My new yak arrived and we just finished adding our decals. I will miss the VieII but now with this new replacement we will create new memories. Ready for some kayak fishing! New locks, video security  cameras and alarms to keep the yaks safe.

Skaha Lake, sandwiched between Penticton and Okanagan Falls, is a beautiful, deep lake known best for its recreation opportunities.  While fishing on Skaha is popular, jetskis, wakeboarding boats, and party barges rule the lake in the summer months.  Anglers looking to put a boat on the lake will do best from Penticton Marina (aka Yamaha Marina) at the northeast extremity of the lake.  There are also adequate launches for power boats in Kaledan (midway down the west side of the lake), and at the very south end in Okanagan Falls.

Kayak Fishing Twin-Lakes "Horn Lake" Apr21-2012

Kathy McA & I had the pleasure of kayak fishing at Horn Lake with Rick & Nikki and the boys today. Caught some fish, tried out our new GMRS waterproof twoway radios, enjoyed some spring temperatures, campfire with fish and smokies for lunch on the beach. [[posterous-content:pid___0]]

1stFishing Day - Kayak Fishing on Skaha Lake

2012-04-04.wmv Watch on Posterous
1st Fishing Day of the season. For me it has been about 25yrs since I held onto a fishing rod and Kathy it's been about 10 years. We purchased our fishing licences April 2nd and just had to test out our new gear. We didn't catch anything today except for seaweed LOL but we enjoyed trying. Looking forward to kayak camping this season and mixing it up with a little fishing for a good meal while we are out. Hope you enjoy the pics and vid.
