I wanted to wait till the temp. was above freezing before mounting the camera with hopes to have a good secure adhesion to the kayak. The 3M gray tape should hold well (details in video below). Today it was +4c out so I mounted the camera on the bow and the beacon mount on the stern. I will mount a solar light on the bow later. But the process has began. Looking forward to getting some good photos from the bow on the next paddle trip.

Removing one of my camera mounts on my Oldtown kayak to use on the Tsunami kayak. The mount is used for the Swann Freestyle Camera (Similar to the old GoPro cameras). The mount originally had gray 3M double-sided tape on the base. I found a roll of gray Scotch Brand 3M Exterior Double-sided Tape, the package reads "Super Strong" Water-Resistant. The tape I found at Staples for $5.00.
This video is the process of removing the mounting bracket, removing the old tape from the mount then refitting the mount with new tape for remounting on the Tsunami kayak.
After much research on the web majority of the info recommended using "Gray" 3M Double-Sided Exterior tape. The tape on the mount is gray in colour and had 3M on the protective tape, if I remember correctly while removing the backing to mount the camera the first time.
Hope the video helps someone out there doing the same or similar.

As of December 12th 2012 I have been using the Kodak PlaySport Zx5 for my videos. Most videos I use the Fisheye Lens. Zx5 settings most used

Microphone: set at 50% (halfway)

Using Highest quality settings
Since Last year I have been using mostly the C123 for my still shots.
Occasionally I use my GPS enabled Blackberry Curve to set a Map Location on my blog post.
For those who are wondering what cameras I use while I am kayaking. As of December 12th 2012 I have been using the Kodak Zx5 for Video and the Kodak c123 for photos only as of Dec. 12th as well. I included a link to this information on the top menu of my LIVE Blog under the heading MyCAMERAS for future reference.
