KAYAKING HANNAH - 1st time June18th2013

My daughter and granddaughter came for a visit this evening and little Hannah wanted to go kayaking. I had an awesome time with my beautiful granddaughter Hannah kayaking this evening. We paddled around the docks. This was Hannah's first time on the lake in a kayak and she absolutely love it and she didn't want to stop. Again,.. again.. she would  say as she tried to help me paddle the kayak. So we circled around again and again. She is only 2 years old but I think she caught the kayaking bug and this may be a regular activity with Hannah when she comes to visit.

"Short Paddle" Kayaking: Skaha Lake Dec27th2012

"Short Paddle"

 

Lake water temp is still about +5c this morning air temp was +2c on the lake with a light wind from the South.

 

Robin and I moved his seat back a bit to accommodate his tall frame in his "Tsunami 145" a couple days ago, much improvement. Took it for a test paddle this morning. I am paddling Kathy's "Tomahawk" kayak.

A-Day-At-SkahaLake April29th2012

Kayaking with Robin Dunham early afternoon then with Kathy McA in the evening after an awesome dinner on the lake with relitives (sorry no photos of our awesome dinner or Kathy but did get some good video of Kathy enjoying her new Tomahawk Kayak). The day was beautiful water by the evening was at 13c and the day temp must have been in the 20's.

Kathy McA's New Tomahawk Kayak April 23rd 2012

Kathy bought her self a new to her Tomahawk kayak. It was only used 2x by the previous owner. Was an awesome deal. We went for a paddle as soon as we got it back to town to test it out. Her new kayak is faster than mine. Couldn't believe the speed, she used to have problems keeping up with me in my tandem but no more. I was paddling in mine like a mad man and I look over and there she is, leisurely paddling past me with barely no effort... thought maybe it's just that I turned "50"  LOL so I took it for a spin and wow couldn't believe how well it paddles and the speed I managed to get out of it.
