Kayaking Skaha Lake & Okanagan River Channel August18th 2012

Kayaking on Skaha Lake and the Okanagan River Channel. The river was fairly busy today but not as busy as it has been this year. The air temps have been in the high 30's and sunshine for about 3 weeks, with a forecast for much the same for another 2 weeks. 

 

The paddle up the channel was a great work out, dodging floaters coming down. If you were floating down the channel on Aug18th you just may be in the video.

SUP (Stand-Up-Paddle) is getting quite popular on Skaha Lake, will have to give it a try sometime. =)

Kayaked to Kickininee Provincial Park

Had a great day paddling to Kickininee Provincial Park today!

My put-in spot was the Penticton Marina on Okanagan Lake. Paddled West to SS Sicamous then North to Kickininee. After a break paddled across the lake to the East side and back to the Marina. Wasn't quite finished so continued to the Sicamous again where I saw someone on a SUP (Stand-Up-Paddle) and back to the Marina. Awesome sky in some of these pics!

On my way back for the day I saw my Daughter and Granddaughter.
