Oyama Lake Kayaking Daytrip/overnighter (EVENT: Planned for August 6th 2011)

We are planning to go to Oyama Lake for a paddle
on Saturday 6th of August.

There is a BCFS camp at the lake for anyone who wants to camp out. My friend Robin and I will be only going for the day unless Robin can get the whole weekend off from his " Honey-Do/Don't " list.  LOL Talk to your wife Robin =)

The usual, bring your own kayak/canoe, food and gear.

Oyama Lake takes about 1 hour to paddle accross and has 27 islands on it to explore. Many islands there appear to be mud but are actually lava formations so use caution when walking on the islands as the mud-like appearence can be sharp on your feet sandals or shoes are a good thing. ;).

We hope to leave Penticton by 8:00am Saturday Morning. Use the Google Map below to figure out when you need to leave and zoom in for directions etc.

The below info was from my 2008 kayaking day-trip there.
